Rocky Mouth Trail

We decided to be adventurous and go to Sandy to the "Rocky Mouth Trail" with some friends.
The hike is set up kind of strangely--you park your car, hike up some steps, then follow a road for a little while before picking up the trail again.
The kids enjoyed exploring several fun caves along the trail.
Then we finally got to the end of the trail: a beautiful waterfall and a fun river to hike through and play in.

Of course we had to stop the fun to have a picnic on the rocks.

The kids discovered a fun game called "fill up the baggies from lunch with water and pour the water out somewhere else". Hours of entertainment right there, I'm sure.

  2. We did this hike last month, and I, too, thought the start/road in the middle was a weird beginning. But, looks like once you got up to the caves and water they had a good time. We loved it. Rated 5 star for our clan!
