Bestest

Mom: Caroline, if you do your very best at school, I'll be proud of you.
Caroline: What if I do even better than my best?
Mom: If you do your bester, I'll be proud of you, too.
Caroline: Mom, you mean 'bestest'. 'Bester' isn't a word.

  2. I agree with you both. "Bester" seems like the logical "better than best", but I think Caroline should always try to do better than "bester", which would be "bestest", right?
